This is to notify that the 2nd National Jamboree has been postponed to January 2nd - 7th 2012. Since there was a clash between the two big National Events (2nd National Jamboree and National Sports Competition), we postponed to solve the problem of Dzongkhags in arranging transportation for the participants who are participating in the above events. This would also give adequate time for the scout participants to prepare for the event. Therefore, we would appreciate if DEOs could inform the concerned escort teachers and schools accordingly.

Dzongkhag wise consolidate record of oversea Youth Exchange program from 1999- Nov, 2010

Scouts and Culture Education Division, Department of Youth and Sports, MoE is the agency who deals with the International Youth Exchange Program. About 65 youth availed the opportunity to participate in ex-country youth exchange program annually depending upon the availability of the fund. The participants are selected based on the criteria required by the organizer and funding agency. In addition, we also follow our set criteria and the type of participants required for the programme..

The table below shows the number of youth with percentage availed the opportunity calculated base on the students ratio in each Dzongkhag. However, we also looked into the number of opportunities given to the Dzongkhags. Therefore, to be very fair, any youth exchange programme offer that we get will be given to the above Dzongkhags as mentioned in the table as sequenced.
